Is a heart rate of 100 something I should be concerned about? I am 65 old female. I started taking Tribenzor about a year ago and my heart rate has been elevated since I started taking it. I was on ante ok and benicar. My doctor had mecwuitvtajing both and started me on tribenzor
Hi Mrs Xxxx . I have gone through your question and i understand your concern .
I would say that heart beat 100 is in the normal range but is closer to what we call tachycardia. We say heart rate or Tachycardia is when the heart beat are more than 100/minute. I would say in these condition the cause of your heart beat may be caused of Amlodipine a drug that is part of Tribenzor , Amlodipine is a calcium Chanal blockers is good to treat high blood pressure but sometimes this drug cause fast heart rate ( tachycardia ) and hypotension with swollen legs .
I would recommend to check you blood pressure every day ( for any hypotension ) , your heart beat (>100minute) , if you have any swollen legs .In this condiction you should change the medication to another one that does not contain amlodipine. If you heart rate bother you even now , you should call your treating doctors for the changes . .
