What Causes Elevated Heart Rate?

My wife is now,at this time, having a heart rate jumping all over the range. It is irregular and jumps between 42 and 50 beats per minute. Blood pressure 153/90 140/60 it jumps around. However, heart rate stays slow and irregular. Should we be concerned or wait to see if it corrects itself?

Hello,

You have said the range but baseline heart is not mentioned. Heart rate does fluctuate if there is stress, tension or emotional responses to some situation. So if you are really made up mind then control mind rather than controlling heart rate. Its all in mind and with meditation, yoga and free arm exercises all this condition do get corrected soon. You can meet a doctor and get ECG done to know the etiology.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Archana
