What Causes Elevated Levels Of Creatinine And GFR With Low WBC?
I m a 63-yr.-old Caucasian female. My recent blood work showed a creatinine level of 1.07 and a GFR non-AFR American level of 55. My hematologist ordered the blood work because of my continuing low WBC and platelets. He s never discussed my creatinine or GFR levels, which I assume were in range. I received a notice online today from the lab who did the testing, which is a first for me. Thank you. Jane YYYY@YYYY

What Causes Elevated Levels Of Creatinine And GFR With Low WBC?
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic Creatinine levels can be indicative of renal function, muscle mass and protein intake. An increase in creatinine however, combined with a decrease in GFR would normally indicate a problem with kidney function. This can occur with age, high blood pressure, diabetes, side effect of medication. You would need to control any risk factors that can worsen it eg your blood pressure and diabetes if present. I hope this helps
