What Causes Elevated Liver Enzyme Level And Less Weight Gain To A 9 Month Baby?

My 9 month old daughter had slightly elevated liver enzymes. Her pediatrician was concerned because of her lack of weight gain - she weighs 14lbs. She has only gained 1 lb in the last 3 months. She eats really well and still breastfeeds. She is having an ultrasound and additional blood testing. Any idea of what this may be?

thank you for your question. this fits in to failure to thrive and ofcourse the battery of tests are required to understand the cause as her appetite is well preserved.
kindly give me some more information regarding
1. if she has had jaundice anytime may be yellow urine or skin or white stools.
2. any ballooned tummy
3. loose stools or greasy voluminous which are difficult to flush
4. is she able to stand with support n pick up objects in a pinch
5. any worms in stools
if any of it is yes then it wojld point to rule out important conditions likely malabsorption , liver involvement due to other conditions.
complete blood count to look for hemoglobin and infections, liver function with proteins , kidney function , usg abdomen are first line requirements.
