What Causes Elevated Liver Enzyme Levels In An Alcohol Addict?
Hi Sir, Hope you are doing well.. My SGPT is 108 and my SGOT is 78. Two years before I suffered from dengue from that time onwards this level has gone up. Can you please let me know Is it very dangerous level or It is high but not very dangerous. I am a frquent drinker also (Once in a week) but I dont think once in a week drink can effect this.
Suggestive of liver damage. Based on the results of the given lab tests the liver enzymes are high which are suggestive of apparent liver damage. Even consuming alcohol once in a week can cause liver damage in susceptible individuals.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
