What Causes Elevated Liver Enzyme Levels In Blood?

Diagnoses Epigastric Abdominal Pain (Ulcer) and Transaminitis aka Elevated SGOT, SGPT liver enzymes. Normal AST (SGOT) is normal between 10 and 58. Mine is 370unit/L. Normal ALT (SGPT) is normal at 5 and 50. Mine is 254 unit/L. So I have follow up with GI Dr on tomorrow and see what is causing my liver enzymes to be elevated so high.

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Elevated liver enzyme occur mostly in the liver diseases.
Following are the causes:
Hepatitis, alcoholism, nonalcoholic fatty liver, obesity and
Drug like acetaminophen, gall bladder disease.
But for liver disease along with this bilirubin should be increased with it.
Also go for Hepatitis antigen to rule out the hepatitis.
