What Causes Elevated Liver Enzymes With Normal Cholesterol?
Hi Doc,
I am 45 yr old female, recently diagnosed with elevated liver enzymes. I have been taking 1 mg Klonopin 3x a day for 5 yrs. I have my menstral cycle approxamately 3-4 times a year. My sugar cholesteral and hormones are okay. I am 5'2" and weigh 170lbs . What is going on?
noted history of elevated liver enzymes. causes of such could be inflammatory/infective (i.e. hepatitis) or obstructive (gallstones, tumor/lesions) in origin. it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a gastroenterologist or a general surgeon, for clinical evaluation and physical examination. diagnostics (such as ultrasound, ct-scan, etc.) and management (medical and/or surgical if indications are found) will be directed accordingly.
hope this helps.
good day!!
