fatty liver. If he has
alcoholic liver disease quitting is the most important thing you can do.
Beneficial is also limiting high-carb foods such as bread, grits, rice, potatoes, and corn. And cut down on drinks with lots of sugar like sports drinks and juice. If there wont be improvement the next step is to look for certain liver damage and most common casue is fatty liver disease. It should be confirmed by
ultrasound. Other causes are
viral hepatitis,cirrhosis, medications, alcohol intake or autoimmune diseases. To verify exact cause, US, bilirubin levels and tumor markers should be additionaly done.
