What Causes Elevated Liver Enzymes?
I am taking r cinex 1000mg since one month. LFT is being carried out every month .SGOT amd SGPT is increased. Will the drug give permanent effect on lever or it it gives only during its use. I may have to take the medicene for another 3 months. My mail: YYYY@YYYY

welcome to hcm ..r cinex is given for tuberculosis and has the liver side effects that why the liver enzymes as sgot sgpt are increased . this effect is drug related and will resilve when the drug will be stopped ..also get checked for serum bilirubin also ..if there is effect of decreased appetite then you may need tab liv 52 ds one tab two times a day . but please do not worry this is usual effect
