Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i just checked my blood pressure and my pulse was 144 first time i checked it. So i checked it a second time and it was 150 pulse rate. So i m wondering why that is? I m 37 years old and i do have high blood pressure. Normally my pulse doesn t run that high.
According to your history it seems you are suffering from fast heart rate that is tachycardia.
There are many causes of fast pulse rate like excess alcohol, anxiety, hyperthyroidism, excess caffeine, drug induced. There are many more cardiac cause which would have grave prognosis sometime.
If such patient comes to my clinic then I advice him/her to get an ECG done first and then advice him/her some blood reports. According to report Will decide further plan of management.
So my advice is please visit nearby emergency service as early as possible.
Thank You
Regards, Dr.Om
