What Causes Elevated Sugar Levels Despite Taking Zoryl M?
I am male,Retd Bank Executive from Bangalore who ishaving Type 2 diabetese detected 10 years ago, aged now 66 years.Take Zoryl M 2 tab before breakfast, before dinner one tablet each time[2 per day].Recent reading PPBS is 253.I exercise control on food but reading is in the range of 240 to 260[PPBS] Any change in medicine advisable?I have BP also, under control as I take medicine for that also I understand consultation with you is free.I go to Family Doctor regularly.
1. Since your PPBS is on the higher side, I'm of the following opinion: - Strict diabetic diet - Regular exercise - Care of the feet - Monitor blood pressure on every visit - Check peripheral pulses on the legs - Check urine sugar, 2 hours after lunch, once a week - Serum cholesterol and lipid profile - ECG once a year - Urine for microalbuminuria - Retinoscopy once a year - HbA1c every 6 months - Ultrasonography of abdomen for pancreas
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
