Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello my daughter is 7 years old and recently was sick with very high fevers the doctor discovered white blood cells in her urine and when they do her labs her bands were 50 and higher what exactly does that mean if I m explaining it to you correctly because they don t seem to find any real diagnosis besides the obvious extremely high white blood cell count.
White blood cells in her urine and fever seem she has urinary tract infection. If you want to make sure what exactly causes it, she can do it with urine culture. UTIs are treated with antibiotic medicines. These medicines kill the bacteria causing the infection. Your child’s symptoms should begin to improve within 1 to 2 days of starting the medicine.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Heang Chan Raksmey, General & Family Physician
