What Causes Elevation In A1C Levels With The Following Blood Sugar Level?
I am type 2 diabetic. Blood sugar numbers are acceptable--mornings ave 90 +or-.Afternoons before dinner ave about 120. Yet A1C keeps elevating--presently 8.1. Meds: Janumet 50/1000 twice, Invokona 300 once, Lantus 15 units once. 79 yr male, 160 lbs., otherwise healthy with no diabetic family history. Reasonable diet and reg. intense exercise. How critical is the A1C?
HI Well come to HCM As long as the diabetes is concern the blood sugar level need to be control on tight rule basis this is very important, now for the glycated hemoglobinHbA1c (A the value of this must be under 7 % ) if this goes beyond this then it may be critical one, hope this information helps, take care.
