What Causes Elevation In SGPT Level While Suffering From High BP And Cholesterol?
My grandmother age 83 years have elevated sgpt 650 and shot 340 levels.she is a diabetic patient under medication high cholesterol also high blood pressure under control with medicines.since the past 3 days her movements have become sluggish , difficulty in breathing and increase heart rate .can u detect what the underlying problem could be.

hello, SGPT is an enzyme produced when there is some insult to the liver due to infection, trauma etc. as it is produced in the liver. Also her SGOT is raised. i would like to know the complete liver function test as it can be correlated. Or if not done, you should get a LFT test done and show to your concerned doctor.
