What Causes Elevation In Blood Sugar Levels?

Been feeling very poorly for several months. Nobody seems to be able to figure out what s wrong. Latest blood work came back with WBC 14.2, Lymphs absolute 8.5, and Glucose 193, what might cause all of these to be high? Latest opinion is Diabeties, but I have been checking glucose all day, and I felt the worst when the reading was the most normal. Any ideas?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Blood sugar level is slightly above normal. You can go for fasting blood sugar values rather than random blood sugar. If the fasting sugar is high, we should treat it like diabetes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
