Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Doctor, I had a blood test done recently and my ferritin level is said to be high. The figure is 225. Pls what can I do to get it to the normal figure.? Again the result also said I have an elevated sugar level. The figure for that is 135, pls what should I do.?
The high ferritin and elevated blood sugar could mean a condition called hemochromatosis. A liver ultrasound or CT scan would be a helpful test. Thank you
