What Causes Elevation In The Heart Rate During Night?
Hi doctor. How are you? What i am facing rightnow is my heartbeat racing at night times and i went to hospital and they checked the ecg and blood test and everytjing was fine. My blood pressure was 140/100 and my triglycerides are bit high. Doctor said that its related gastric problem. I am feeling my heart is pumping very hard. Could you please guide me
There are a number of possible reasons for increased heart rate such as : (A) due to problems related to the heart itself (B) anemia (C) thyroid disease (D) infection (e)side effect of medication (F) due to other medical conditions
Increased heart rate at night may not be related to the heart itself. Other causes should be ruled out before determining it is related to the stomach or another part of the gastrointestinal tract.
This means that you should have: (A) an ECG (to take a look at the rate and rhythm of the heart, look for any areas of decreased blood supply), (B) blood tests such as thyroid function tests and a complete blood count (checks for anemia)
I hope this helps
