What Causes Enlarged Lymph Nodes In The Groin Area?

am being treated for endometriod adenocarcinoma FIGO Grade1, Stage IIIa No lymph node involvement. After complete hysterectomy and first dose of carboplatin/taxol, Doppler to confirm no blood clots remaining in my leg (from last year s clot problem) found enlarged lymph nodes in both left and right groin. Should I be concerned?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It may due to infection or inflammation in the surrounding region. You can empirically start on a short course of antibiotics. If the node persists, then you have to get a fine needle biopsy to rule out tumor recurrence.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
