What Causes Epilepsy?

I am 30 yrs old. Sudden onset of seizures since last one year. MRI diagnosis attributes cause to impaired blood circulation due childhood head injury. Prescribed Zeptol CR and Oxeyol 400 for 3 months. Any other line of diagnosis or treatment required?

Hello,

MRI scan would be the best investigation to arrive at conclusion as to the cause for your epilepsy. Also, the medication prescribed should help you to prevent attacks from happening. Zeptol CR tablet contains Carbamazepine as an active ingredient. It works by stabilizing the electrical activity of brain.

Oxetol tablet controls seizures by suppressing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Kindly do not take much stress and do not be deprived of sleep. Avoid starvation and take regular healthy diet. Regular follow-up with your doctor should help you to live a healthy lifestyle.
