What Causes Episode Of Double Vision?

I just had an incidence of double Vision. It was less than a minute in duration and has been normal for the past half hour. I m a 70 year old female w chronic high blood pressure and had a heart attack 19 months ago. I was diagnosed several years ago wth Graves disease but it was later found that I had no antibodies for it in my system so I was told I couldn t have had it. What recommendation do you have?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, single episode of double vision may be related to transient alterations in the intra occular pressure, systemic blood pressure changes or else. However, an immediate consultation with your physician for primary evaluation and later on ophthalmologist or optometrist visit is recommended for the final diagnosis and cure accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
