What Causes Episodes Of Blackouts?

My family including husband and 2 kids have been experiencing episodes of what they describe as blank outs. They can be seating or standing and they can t concentrate on what is in front of them. They don t remember what was being said or done in front of them. I am having problems with my memory. When I am asked to get a list of 3-4 things I almost always forget 1 of the items. Is this some kind of house toxicity? Any suggestions on testing for the home?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The black outs you describe could be due to low blood pressure OR a type of epilepsy (which could be hereditary). Please get them checked by a Cardiologist with ECG scan if needful, also by a neurophysician to find or exclude epilepsy. This can be followed by specific medication under an expert control.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
