Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Regarding your concern, I would explain that it is important performing a comprehensive differential diagnosis between different possible causes that may mimic this clinical situation:
- epilepsy seizures
- cardiac arrhythmia
- transient ischemic attacks (TIA)
- panic attacks, etc. For this reason, I would recommend performing some tests:
- a resting ECG and a cardiac ultrasound
- thyroid hormone levels
- blood electrolytes
- an EEG for seizures
- a Doppler ultrasound of the carotid arteries for possible narrowing
- an ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring for possible cardiac arrhythmia. A brain MRI may be necessary.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
