What Causes Episodes Of Flank And Back Pain Along With Nausea And Vomiting?
Sudden onset right flank/back pain/nausea/vomiting every 15 minutes...SEVERE pain...no fever...enlarged Abdominal lymph nodes that enlarged to point of obstruction of ureter...but no increase in BUN/Creat and no blood in urine...no previous history of any illness and no OTC meds, active/healthy individual...no pain with urination/good flow/non smoker etc...overall healthy physically active. WBC/CBC/normal...no weight gain or loss...
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of episodes of flank and back pain along with nausea and vomiting . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like viral upper respiratory infection such as a cold or flu and symptoms of the flu, musculoskeletal pain , strain or sprain of the muscles, tendons. Cervical spondylosis can also cause such symptoms . Apply warm compresses on back.Taking rest is very important . I would suggest you to consult general physician first for proper examination. Doctor may order blood test , viral culture test and check vital look for infection. Doctor may refer you to ENT specialist or orthopedic surgeon. Doctor may prescribe antiviral like acyclovir along with analgesic , antiemetic and antipyretic . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and drink warm glass of water with one spoon of honey in it.
