What Causes Episodes Of Lightheadedness Followed By Short Term Memory Loss?

I have something strange going on. It starts with slight lightheadedness, then I get a certain smell and then I go blank. Not for long, don t lose conscienceness, but my memory is affected. Short term memory. I don t fall down or anything like that, its like I just go out into space, take a trip around and then come back.

Simple partial seizures, absent seizures or narcolepsy(which is a sleep disorder ).

Investigations like EEG and Sleep study are required to make a definitive diagnosis.
