Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the last few days I have had episodes of neck pain and stiffness accompanied by chills. The episodes come on quicky and last a few hours and seem to go away as quickly. The first time it happened was the most severe and included overall body aches. Today, not so bad, just neck soreness and slight chills. I am not running a temperature and I feel pretty normal between episodes. I have had about 4 episodes in last 3 days. I am a 63 y.o. male in otherwise good health. I take levothyroxin and atorvostatin daily. I have been ill with flu twice this winter. What might be going on with me?
Cervical spondylosis. Use neck color, hard bed, avoid pillows during bed time. Phomantation on neck and apply analgesic ointment. Take tab Combiflam. Continue your medication as usual. Getting flu is normal. Take vitamin C regularly and warm saline gurgling.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash
