What Causes Episodes Of Stomach Ache And Headache Followed By Passing Out?
what does it mean if you have frequent stomach aches and head aches my husband has passed out twice he says his stomach hurts and he starts get shortness of breath and blacks out for about 30 seconds and when he wakes it takes him a few seconds to remember who everbody is around him and gets real hot and sweating after a while of cooling off he starts feeling a little better
Regarding your concern, I would explain that his symptoms could be related to epilepsy seizures.
Some types of epilepsy seizures (like complex partial seizures) can begin with epigastric aura, which is often experienced as nausea or stomach ache.
Coming to this point, I would recommend consulting with a neurologist for a physical check up and some tests:
- a resting ECG - a chest X ray study - a brain CT scan - an EEG - some blood work (complete blood count, fasting glucose, kidney and liver function tests, blood electrolytes, PCR, sedimentation rate).
You should discuss with his doctor on the above issues!
Kind regards, Dr. Aida
