What Causes Episodes Of Sudden Nausea And Vomiting?
Thank you for taking my question. Over the past 3-4 weeks I have had sudden nausea and throw up and then am fine. It comes on very sudden, I cant pinpoint anything in common with each episode to try to figure out whats going on. I am 62, not pregnant. Could this be something going wrong with my stomach?

Thanks for writing to healthcaremagic. You have recent onset intermittent vomiting. The causes of which can be self limiting to serious hence caution is advised. You can try with PPI and prokinetic drugs after consulting your family physician. If no improvement in 3-5 days it needs evaluation including upper GI endoscopy to identify the cause.
