General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

1. What is her age? (This answer is most needed one)
2. Does she feel dizzy?
3. Can you tell me about her menstrual status?

I would like to give some diagnosis:

1. Estrogen and Progesterone level
2. Complete Blood Count
3. Thyroid Function Tests (T3, T4, TSH)
4. Morning Blood Pressure
5. Fasting Blood Sugar

Meanwhile you should follow these dietary changes:

Dietary changes may relieve hot flashes. Some foods such as caffeine, chocolate, spicy foods and alcohol may actually trigger hot flashes.

Your best course of action is to limit these foods and gauge whether or not your hot flashes improve.

On the other end, eating plant foods that contain phytoestrogens, which resemble estrogen, may help reduce hot flashes. These foods include nuts, oilseeds, soy products, and legumes.

If there is no problem and her age is over 40, then we can consider it may be due to menopause. In this time, gradually, there will be stoppage of menstruation and these are menopausal features which should start.

If it is established that she has menopause, a doctor may suggest

Esterified estrogens-medroxyprogesterone 1.25 mg oral tablets: one tablet orally once a day.

But, before that do the tests. Please post the results here in Healthcaremagic.com and a doctor will follow you up and give her next course of treatment. Do not worry. She is under our good hands.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
