General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
Hot flashes and muscle jerks can be side effects of taking certain medications, including Synthroid and anti-depressants. These symptoms may also be a result of hormonal imbalances, which can be exacerbated by the onset of menopause. It's recommended to consult a healthcare professional to determine the exact cause of these symptoms and if any changes to the current medication regimen are necessary.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
