Hi,
A vast majority of clients undergoing TURP remain sexually active after the procedure, and only a small percentage (one estimate puts the figure at 5-14%) develop
erectile dysfunction following TURP.
Many, however, regain erections within less than six months. One of the possible mechanisms of erectile dysfunction (ED) after TURP is direct heat
injury to the nerves responsible for erection, which run very close to the
prostate.
Other possible mechanisms are psychological effects of surgery and hospitalization.
In your case too, the later is likely to be at play as you have developed another complication, viz., stricture
urethra, and another procedure to repair it.
Give yourself a little more time and I expect your erections will gradually restore. You may wish to seek a prescription of PDE-5 inhibitors to see if you could be helped with strong erections sooner.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
