Hi there,

Sounds like you have some blood pressure issues that might be affecting this. Erections occur due to increased blood flow, and if your blood pressure is too low, you might just not have enough to get an erection. I'd recommend getting a blood pressure cuff at home and checking your blood pressure several times throughout the day. If you're running low, then your doctor may need to readjust your blood pressure medication.

Do you ever get pain with walking or pain in your buttocks? If you do, you may have what is called LeRiche syndrome, which is a problem with the internal iliac arteries. These arteries can get narrowed and not supply the pelvis with enough blood. An ultrasound or CT-angiogram can help assess this.

Finally, it may be due to just bad luck and aging, and there are plenty of medications that can help with erectile dysfunction such as viagra and cialis. I'd check with your doctor, but if you don't feel comfortable discussing with him, there are many doctors that specialize in men's health (although you may have to pay cash).

I hope I have answered your questions. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions or if you feel I haven't addressed your question adequately.
