What Causes Erectile Dysfunction?

i was unable to perform due to emotional issues, nothing physically wrong with me at the time. So, i went to doctor and he, gave me prescription for viagra to get me back on track. To make long story short i abused these prescribed drugs for 2-3 months, took them almost everyday....then i stopped taking them all together, that was 4 yrs ago. i have not been able to get a full erection and my body has got physically worse over last 3 yrs since. i feel like i have done vascular damage from these actions. My question is, is that a possibility and what should i have checked to determine if that is the case? i have many other issues going on that i feel are also related to using drug in manner that i did. Very concerned...please help!

I share your concerns. I would like to tell you that you seriously have some big problems. Thanks for providing detailed information. You should have mentioned age too as it is much more important. It could be result of drug abuse, deteriorated general health, general happiness. However if I were your treating doctor, after complete physical examination, I would have done tests like blood work up(hb levels, electrolyte), liver function test, vascularity of genitals (ultrasound, doppler) and psychological assessment.

I would like to advise you to kindly visit urologist urgently and explain him complete details honestly. Request for complete work up.
