Hi, I have a very sharp and bad pain from the top of my stomach up to my chin. It seems like swallowing a rock and cannot take it down. It also seems like having cramps on my Esouphagus. some say its gas some say it is cramps, whatever it is it is really pain full.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Pain in that region is likely related to the esophagus, this can be in the form of reflux or spasms of the esophagus.

Reflux is more common so you should consider treating for this first.

Treatment involves a mix of diet changes and medication.

Diet changes include: (a) avoiding spicy/acidic/fatty/fried foods
(b)using small frequent meals instead of large meals
(c)waiting at least 2 hours after eating before laying down]
(d)weight loss of any excess weight which may be pressing down on stomach worsening reflux
(e)foods such as caffeine, chocolate, mint, onion, tomato can make it worse

Medications such as nexium, prilosec, prevacid- help to reduce acid production and may help

I hope this helps
