Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. The most probable causes of pain while swallowing and acidity are as follows: Gastritis and GERD with resultant esophagitis. Antibiotics are very rarely known cause such a problem, the commonest causes are anti-inflammatory medications. There can be associated stress and anxiety adding on to the problems. There is less role of ultrasound in such a case. The best option is to go for an upper GI Endoscopy. Take a PPI like Pantoprazole. Antacids every three hours. Domperidone if there is nausea, vomiting and symptoms like GERD that is gastro-esophageal reflux syndrome. The report of Upper GI Endoscopy and response to the medication will decide the further management. Take soft and bland diet.
