What Causes Excess Dryness In Eye While Suffering From Cataract?
I m 43 year old, told I have a cataract. I wear contact lenses, the eye with have cataract seems to be really dry, having hard time wearing the contact. Is it possible this because of the cataract worsening, diagnosed in May and just now having issues with contact in that eye ????
Hi and welcome to HCM, There is no relation between cataract and eye dryness. If the cataract is worsening, you will feel that your vision is deteriorating. However, contact lenses can cause dryness. My advice is that you shud have the cataract surgery and after the surgery you will not need to wear the contact lens, as they will put a intra ocular lens. All the best !!!
