What Causes Excess Eye Watering And Soreness?

I develop extreme watery eyes about 8 weeks ago, I went to my Dr who said I had dry eye. He put plugs in my tear ducts which he top nought would help but I still have periods where they water continuously. My eyes are not sore but all the welling up in tears makes it difficult to see at times.I stopped wearing eye makeup but there is no difference, because I originals thought it was from make up

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have excess eye watering and soreness . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to certain reasons like conjunctivitis , allergic reaction , migraine or dry eyes . I would suggest you to consult ophthalmologist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test , check occular pressure and examine physically . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants , corticosteroid eye drops along with antibiotics . Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for sinusitis kind of problem .
