What Causes Excess Salivation Leading To Throat Muscle Pain?
Last few days i have lots of saliva in my mouth and i keep swallowing or spitting constantly. It's hurting my throat muscles so much from swallowing my saliva. I do have a cough here and there but not serious and my nose is a little stuffy. I don't like hospitals or doctors but I'm worried on what's this issue.
As per your query you have excessive salivation or hypersalivation along with pain in throat muscle and cough . Well the symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards various conditions like acid reflux ( GERD ) , oral ulcers , pancreatitis , liver disease , bell's palsy or due to some medication . But in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are probably due to acid reflux or gastrointestinal reflux disease . I would suggest you to avoid spicy and heavy food specially at night , eat frequent and light meals , eat at least one hours before going to bed and consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order X-ray and endoscopy of upper digestive track . Doctor may prescribe drugs like ranitidine and omeprazole or refer you to ENT specialist .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
