Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain excessive sinus drainage can be most probably due to
sinus infection or sinusitis..
In case of acid reflux also there is excessive formation of mucosa as well as
excessive salivation but it is commonly accompanied with
sore throat, heartburn etc..
In case if you have symptoms like
nasal congestion, facial pains etc can be due to sinusitis..
The exact cause of the problem can be confirmed only after a thorough clinical evaluation like PNS View or MRI of the sinuses while Upper G.I Endoscopy can be done if acid reflux is suspected..
In case of sinusitis antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller, decongestant, mucolytics, saline
nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and decongestant nasal spray can help in resolution..
In case of acid reflux, antacids, proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole and dietary modifications like small frequent meals, avoid spicy meals, drinking plenty of water, walks after meals and sleeping with head raised as compared to feet can help..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
