What Causes Excess Sleep While On Seroquel For Anxiety And PTSD?

I have Major Depressive Disorder with General Anxiety and PTSD. My Doctor has been changing meds on me and I have had some side effects. As if yesterday I currently take Brentellix 20 mg, Bupropion XL 300 mg, and Xanex 1.0 mg. He also had me on Ambion and switched to Seroquel XR 50 mg. After taking the Seroquel last night and taking the the other meds this morning I had a hard time waking up and felt sleepy all day. My question is are these drugs safe to take together and should I be experiencing the side effects. Have I not given the drugs long enough to work together. Allan

Hello,

It is quite common with seroquel especially on the initial days of usage. It will get settled once your body get adapted to the pill.

If you can not tolerate the side effects, you can switch to alternatives after consulting a psychiatrist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
