What Causes Excessive Bleeding And Fatigue Post Intake Of Gestapro During Pregnancy?
my wife is pregnant. This is third week of her pregnancy. I have given first tablet of GESTAPRO Tablet Kit on Tuesday morning with milk and next line two tablets she has taken today morning with milk. After two hours start excessive bleeding and now she is feeling very tired and she is still not take last two tablets. I want to know what is the use of next two tablets and is it necessary to take another two tablets. And what kind of food she should taken. please guide me.
* Gestapro is a combination kit therapy consisting of Mifepristone (to be taken first) and Misoprostol (to be taken around 36-48 hours after the Mifepristone).
* Usually the first dose can provoke nausea and light bleeding, but severe bleeding is predicted only after around 4 hours of the second dose.
As there is severe bleeding and weakness (suggestive of heavy blood loss ) after the first dose, she should not be compelled to use the second dose and must be presented to her OBGY for immediate consultation for further guidelines.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
