What Causes Excessive Bleeding In Mouth After Tooth Extraction?
Just had 2 pre-molars removed this morning, both on the same side and i think i just lost my bloodclot for one of them. Its only been about 3 and half hours since the operation but i suspect since i was lying down on the opposing side to the tooth extraction i think that may have caused the recently formed bloodclot to become loose and dislodge which is quite suprising since i wasn't doing anything to it. Im quite horrified at the sight of all that blood, spit and tissue running down the drain so i went online to find out what to do. Can you please help?
As it is already 3 and a half hours and you can see considerable bleeding then it should be immediately taken into medical care to avoid excessive bleeding or hemorrhage.. If it is bleeding hold a piece of sterile gauze over the extraction socket with the help of the other jaw teeth and bite gently to stop bleeding and eat something cold like ice cream, do cool compresses over the cheek.. But in case if it is just a few drops of blood then it is not abnormal.. So first of all you should see that what is the exact status of bleeding. If you can see just a few traces of blood in your spit then do not worry or else immediately consult an Emergency dentist. As far as blood clot is concerned it has to be checked clinically but is only possible once your bleeding stops completely.. In case if the blood clot is lost too then also you can get the socket healed with the help of medicated dressings, so please do not worry and visit a Dentist as soon as possible..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
