Hi,
Excessive bleeding with leg and
pelvic cramps, along with passing clumps of tissue, could be a sign of a miscarriage or a medical condition called uterine fibroids. Uterine fibroids are benign growths that develop in the uterus and can cause heavy and painful periods, cramping, and pressure in the pelvis. However, a CT scan may not be the most effective way to diagnose uterine fibroids. An ultrasound or MRI may be more useful in detecting them.
Other potential causes of heavy bleeding and cramping include
endometriosis,
adenomyosis, and
pelvic inflammatory disease. Endometriosis occurs when the tissue that lines the uterus grows outside of the uterus, leading to
heavy periods,
pelvic pain, and
infertility. Adenomyosis is a condition in which the lining of the uterus grows into the muscle wall of the uterus, leading to heavy periods and cramping. Pelvic inflammatory disease is an infection of the reproductive organs that can cause pelvic pain, fever, and heavy periods.
It is important to follow up with your doctor to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms and to receive appropriate treatment. If you experience severe pain or heavy bleeding, seek medical attention immediately.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
