What Causes Excessive Bloating And Gas In The Stomach?

My symptoms: Excessive constant gas, expelled orally & rectally continuously. Previously prescribed, but unsuccessful are: VSL#3, Align (OTC), charcoal capsules. Since all of these roved ineffective, my physician just prescribed Xifaxan. Since one of the major side affects of Xifaxan is bloating & gas, is this a wise Rx and should I be taking this at this time?

Yes you should start taking rifaxamin but 550 mg twice a day.Please continue to use VSL#3.It is better to do a colonoscopy.
