What Causes Excessive Bruising On Legs With Low Platelet Count In Blood?
my grandson is 4 yrs old. has excessive bruises on his legs. then had scabs or open sores on lips an mouth. yesterday had blood work an had very low blood platelets. hospital put new platelets in iv . had bone marrow biopsy. waiting for results. does he have leukemia ??? or cancer??? its to bad you charge money when someone is in need of help. I know its the almighty dollar talking. no thanks

I really appreciate your concern, if this is low platelet then this could be due to some viral infection and this need to be ruled out first instead of thinking about some malignancy second this could be some blood disorders like "von willebrand disease" also VII factor deficiency need to be seen hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
