What Causes Excessive Burping, Nausea And Feeling Of A Lump In The Throat?
I keep getting daily episodes of a squeezing feeling, lump in throat, pain across upper back and terrible burping and nausea. I ve had two HIDA scans for gallbladder and ultrasounds, I m on Aciphex for reflux and take xanax as needed for anxiety. I m scared something is squeezing my upper stomach like peritoneal cancer or a tumor or something. I can t lay down at night to sleep often it wakes me with severe pain, nausea and sweating and lasts a few hours before it is relieved. Can anxiety really bring this on? I take gas-x and tums and xanax and advil when these attacks get bad.
Consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated. We have to rule out possibilities like lump or mass in the throat. As of now you can take antacids like Pantoprazole or Omeprazole for symptomatic relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
