What Causes Excessive Crying And Frequent Stools In Infants?

Hi..my baby is 40 days old and weighs 3.1kg and breastfed. he passes stool lot of times in a day and have a lot gas passing though burping.last 2days it has increased he is feeling very uneasy and crying a lot due to all time gas n motions. wht should we do for making him better without this problem?

Hope it may help
i wouls suggest you to increase breast feeding to prevent him from dehydration.Continuous loose motions can also deplete the electrolytes for which you can give him ORS but if he refuses to take it,dont worry and keep giving him breast milk.Feed him every time he passes a stool.Put him to shoulder after feeding and walk around till he burps.Add a zinc supplement.You can ask for it in a pharmacy store.Dont give any anti diarrheal as it has side effects.Keep a proper check of hygiene.wash your hand properly every time before handling baby.If the episodes continuous see a pediatrician as the baby may need an antibiotic.
