What Causes Excessive Crying In A Child?

Hi Doctor, Last November we blessed with a boy baby. He is doing fine in all aspects apart from the evening cry. He use to cry a lot especially at evening time. When we consulted with a near by child specialist, they have told that the bay is crying due to Cholic pain and it will be normal in coming days. Instead Our baby started crying the whole day. If we give pacifier then he stops crying. Could you please tell us the reason behind. It would be very helpful.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that your child is having infantile colic which is very common upto 3-4 months.
This pain usually occurs in the evening.
Nothing to worry, give him Colicalid or Colicarmin drops as needed.
But keep in mind one thing that he is not hungry because hungry child starts crying if he is hungry.
Please change his diaper frequently as many a time wet diaper can cause inconvenience.
Ok and take care.
