Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My baby girl 16 days today. Doctor prescribed calcimax plus syrup 2.5 ml daily. But after giving calcimax baby is crying lot and whole night. We observed this symptom after starting calcimax. Potty habits also getting less during this time. As per my experience with my sister age 29+yrs where she also having same problem of stomach pain with same calcimax 500 tablet by a gynecologist. This may be a stomach issue also for my baby with same medicine? Please suggest.
These drops are used to relieve abdominal colic. And abdominal colic is very common during the first few months. So no need to panic and start any medicine for this abdominal colic.
In my opinion, you should stop that drops. Give your baby exclusive breastfeeding, nothing else. Your baby will definitely improve and stop crying.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar,
