What Causes Excessive Fatigue While Taking Hydrocodone?
Hi, I have been feeling really sluggish and falling asleep at my desk during the day. I went to see my oncology doctor and he said that I had mild anemia but it wasn t bad enough for me to feel this way. He told me to get a sleep apnea test. Also, I had shoulder surgery in February and I have been taking hydrocodone to sleep at night. Could this be causing my fatigue?

Opiod analgesics like hydrocodone might cause excessive tiredness and sleepiness.
If you can not tolerate the side effects it will be better to switch to alternatives like NSAID group of drugs. Consult a pain physician and he will direct you accordingly.
