Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I can only wake up and stay awake after six or more hours of sleep. I m up an hour or so and become so tired I can t function. Doing everyday activities is too difficult. Vitamins don t help caffeine doesn t help. I even tried diet pills and that doesn t help. Been tested for thyroid disease and the numbers are only slightly off. I m at my last straw. I don t know what to do......please help
I think you should change your lifestyle, healthy diet, exercising, sleeping 8 hours, avoid alcohol or other substances Sometimes emotional concerns and stress can cause fatigue.
If you change your lifestyle and the symptoms persist you should do some Tests – such as blood tests, urine tests, x-rays, and other investigations.
The idea is to rule out any physical causes, for example, anemia, infection or hormonal problems.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
